The Food

I never knew how much I loved Thai food until I went to Thailand. Cashew chicken fried rice served in a hollowed out pineapple? Yes, please. Mango sticky rice every day? You bet.

That Temple Life

Thailand is chock full of gorgeous temples---and we only scratched the surface with Wat Arun! Bangkok and Chiang Mai both had beautiful examples; but you can find even more in Chiang Rai and beyond. Which really just means we need to go back.

Mountains, Jungles, and Waterfalls--oh, my!

If you are a nature lover, like me, then Thailand will not disappoint. Rent a motorbike and take a ride up Doi Suthep mountain for some amazing jungle views and waterfalls. Or, charter a longtail boat in Krabi Beach and hike through the lush forests between beach breaks. Either way, you can't go wrong!

Just Marvel at the Clear, Blue Water

I was seriously IN LOVE with the water in Thailand. The color was spectacular and you could see straight through to the bottom while gliding along in a boat. After visiting the jungles of Chiang Mai, a relaxing beach stay in Krabi will be exactly what you need.

Save the Elephants

While some elephants are still mistreated within Thailand's tourism industry, the country has made amazing strides to provide sanctuaries to protect them. Spend some quality time with these incredible animals in a well-vetted sanctuary that does NOT allow riding. Elephant Nature Park is a great option!
